2019 has proved to be an impressive year so far for the iconic Ibiza DJ, Sarah Main. With a career spanning 25 years, the native Australian is currently riding higher than ever. She’s been rocking the 2019 Ibiza Summer Season, with frequent performances at some of the island’s hottest spots including BLUE MARLIN, HARD ROCK HOTEL, PIKES and GLITTERBOX at HI, where her new track ‘Give It To Me’ has been taking the roof off.
Her strong, unwavering passion for house music has been the driving force behind Sarah’s dynamic career and she’s stayed true to her roots. Thanks in part to events like GLITTERBOX the authentic house and disco sound is enjoying a re-emergence, and Sarah has found herself more in demand than ever. Sarah is entering into an exciting new chapter, displaying a level of musical maturity and technical excel ence that puts her on a par with the most wel respected DJs in the world and provides a positive role model for women in the industry.
So far 2019 has seen her gig in many European hotspots. England, Greece (Mykonos), Sweden, Netherlands, Malta, France, Monaco, Italy and mainland Spain to name a few. She has also had the honour of playing 20 gigs alongside the undisputable ‘Queen of House’ diva Barbara Tucker .

Her il ustrious touring career that has seen her headline events in over 40 countries and in the world’s leading venues such as – WARUNG (br), MOS (uk), SANKEYS (uk), ZOUK (sin), CAVO PARADISO (gr), HOME (aus), XS (us), PETER PAN (it) and every global PACHA club from Buenos Aires to NY. She has played at many of the major festivals including CREAMFIELDS, ROCK IN RIO, PACHA FESTIVAL, ARIS TECHNO PARADE, DANCE VALLEY and Europe’s biggest- TOMORROWLAND for which she made an official house remix of the Tomorrowland anthem by Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.
Being one of the first DJs to rise from the Australian club scene to worldwide stages, Sarah made Ibiza her home in 2001 when she secured the prestigious position of main room resident in one of the world’s most revered clubs, PACHA. It was here Sarah shone as she warmed up for the creme de la creme of the international DJ elite, capturing their attention as much as the crowd’s. With her 12 year long PACHA residency, she was an international ambassador for the brand, headlining countless world tours, mixing a plethora of CD compilations alongside industry heavyweights such as PETE TONG and GOLDFISH, presenting PACHA’s first radio show on Galaxy UK as wel as featuring in numerous photo shoots in famous magazines.
Nominated twice at the Ibiza DJ Awards for ‘Best Ibiza DJ’, it was in 2006 that Sarah took home the coveted award. Both ERICK MORILLO and PETE TONG quoted her as the best warm up DJ in DJ Mag and the legendary FRANKIE KNUCKLES also cited Sarah as his favourite female DJ.
A creative and multi-talented artist, Sarah is also accomplished in film and is a natural in front of the camera. She was the face of the Pioneer CDJ 400 in 2008, the first CDJ with USB input. This led her to be selected by MOS TV to host the ‘How to DJ’ series alongside JAMES ZABIELA. Her series has had over 600,00 views on YouTube to date. She then went on to host her own 3-hour music show on Flaunt TV and hosted an exclusive Yamabooki TV series, interviewing everyone from The SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA to CARL COX.
In 2015, Yamabooki featured Sarah on ‘DJ’s – THE NEW SUPERSTARS’, alongside artists such as HARDWELL, ARMIN VAN BUREEN, DAVID GUETTA, SOLOMUN and plus more. It aired on prime time TV on Vox TV in Germany to over 1 mil ion viewers.
Sarah was also the first person on screen in the huge movie “IT’S ALL GONE PETE TONG” when she appeared as herself, discussing the controversial protagonist Frankie Wilde.
On the airwaves her MAINroom radio show was heard on over 30 FM stations worldwide and was the first electronic music show to be commissioned by Emirates for their inflight service. She also had a weekly radio show, ‘Mobile Disco’ on Ibiza’s flagship radio station, IBIZA GLOBAL RADIO.
As a producer, her tracks can be found on Pacha Recordings, Heatflow, Blue Dye, Soulful Legends, Society 3.0, classic house label Azuli recordings and her own MAINroom records.
After such a successful year, what better way to round it off than with a much anticipated tour in Australia, where Sarah’s loyal fan base have been waiting 7 years for her to return. The timing couldn’t be better, with the disco/house explosion, there’s a whole new generation of music lovers wanting to see their Aussie pride and joy playing back on home soil too.
